Designed by Jack Holt, the Heron remains as popular as ever, with world-wide numbers in excess of 10,000 boats.

 

In the UK, new Herons are available in wood, FRP or composite from a choice of builders, or the Heron can be home-built from a kit or from plans which can be purchased from the association.

 

The Heron is an adopted class at sailing clubs up and down the country. The Heron Dinghy Class Association organises a full programme of regattas and open meetings throughout the sailing season. Please see the calendar or upcoming events.
